The Village of Dwight is located on Interstate 55 with access to Illinois Route 17, Illinois Route 47, and Old Route 66 running through the Village.

Dwight offers access to two railroads, Norfolk Southern (East-West) and Union Pacific (North-South).

There is also a small airport located one mile outside of the Village.

The Median housing price is comparable with the national average. The average home sale price for a three bedroom single family residence in 1999 was $140,000.
